Day 24…Thanks to St. Agnes Parish, St. Matthew Parish, amazing team members, and everyone who came to pray!

Servants

We are called by God the Father and Jesus to be servants to others.  Not just servants to spouses, family, and friends, but also to those who despise and hate us.

Think of Jesus, the Son of God, at the Last Supper, washing the feet of his disciples, an act of love and humility.  He knew this was one of his last hours before His Passion, but that is how He chose to spend that precious time.  His example of servitude and humility showed them how to serve others after His resurrection.

On the street, we offer service to others in need- the abortion-bound women, the abortion doctors and nurses, the staff looking for a way out of the abortion industry, healing to post-abortive women.  We offer service to our fellow pray-ers, buoying them up through encouragement and prayer.

“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, my servant will be as well.  If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”

John 12:26

“The greatest among you shall be your servant.  For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

Matthew 23:11-12

SIDEWALK REPORTS

Coming soon!

KATHY: Few entered pp this morning with one accepting resource literature.  Many passersby accepted the “Watch Me Grow” brochure. A car pulled up at entrance and a grey haired woman escorted a younger woman into building. Both declined resources. Older woman drove away and after 10 minutes or so, younger woman exited building still declining resources.  She stood near vacant bookstore talking on the phone and vaping.  After she was finished talking on phone, I approached her once more offering resources which again she declined.

Please keep “T” in your prayers as she enters detox tomorrow.  Also, an early Happy 75th Birthday greeting to Bill H. who stopped by. His birthday is tomorrow.

ELSIE: Kathy, Kim, & Bernie were laboring diligently when I arrived. Bernie stayed on the sidewalk for my first hour, and a lovely group from Saint Agnes in North Huntington shared the sidewalk with me throughout my shift. They were Cynthia, Anne, Ken, & David. All four were devout Rosary pray-ers & displayed some of our best pro-life signs, including the “I am Human” poster featuring a photo of an unborn baby just 6 weeks after fertilization. David had a calm & lengthy conversation with a young male passerby. I was too far away to hear any of what was said but am guessing it was a helpful & positive interaction. Many passersby accepted literature; who knows but some leaflets may end up in the hands of moms & dads who will be prompted by them to seek help from a pro-life help center!

Tragically, many victims entered that dread abortuary on my watch. A man observed us all for a good while. We didn’t know whether he was friend or foe — until he walked over & handed me cash! He told me that he had heard us offer help to moms, and if anybody took us up on it, this money was to help us provide material support to her & her baby. I assured him that it would be used to help a mother & child. Don’t know his name, but what a kind unsung hero!!

DONNA: It was a rainy day in Pittsburgh. Our faithful friends from St Matthew’s Parish, Bob, Beth, Bernadette and Frank, prayed the rosary and handed out cards and resource brochures. Lindsey and I, from Gospel Fellowship, prayed together and Lindsey had the opportunity to pray with a woman passing by. One girl going in took information.  God please convict the hearts of the abortion workers; doctors, nurses, security guards, volunteers and escorts so that they realize their part in the murder of the innocent and that God hates the hands that shed innocent blood.
