This morning, while praying at Planned Parenthood, I happened to look at the front doors just as the sun was shining on them. The electrical box cast a shadow toward the door, and the sunlight’s reflection spilled out onto the sidewalk just opposite the shadow. It suddenly hit me how much they looked like the rays that emanate from our Lord in the Divine Mercy image. I hope seeing them in the photo touches your heart the way it did mine.
The following quote from St. Faustina is tremendously comforting, especially when women reject our offers of help and enter PP to do the unthinkable. We know that our prayers for them are heard even if we don’t see immediate results. Please continue to pray, both from home and on the sidewalk as we move back into 40 Days for Life 365. Jesus, we trust in you!
God’s mercy sometimes touches the sinner at the last moment in a wondrous and mysterious way. Outwardly, it seems as if everything were lost, but it is not so. The soul, illumined by a ray of God’s powerful final grace, turns to God in the last moment with such a power of love that, in an instant, it receives from God forgiveness of sin and punishment … (Diary, 1698)

Jen and Vince

(From Jen) A sunny and quiet morning filled with prayer…what a great way to close out this campaign! Thanks so much to Vince and Rich for the beautiful Scriptural Rosaries and Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and to Ken and Pat for keeping the prayers rolling as we left. Happy birthday to Bill H., and may God bless Shawn, who stopped to pray with us.
Ken and Pat

(From Ken) Today is Palm Sunday and the last day of this campaign. May our Lord Triumph over all who witnessed our presence on Liberty Avenue and bring healing and forgiveness to their lives. I am blessed have Pat as a partner in prayer this Lent and to be joined today by Bob and Sue.
Susan
Thank you to Susan for adding another shift to her week so that our friends from Our Lady of the Lakes parish would have a team member with them!
Andy and Sue

(From Andy) My blog is simple. Let us never forget that God will not judge us on results. How many saves happen honestly is not what we are here for. It is for love. At the end of our lives, we will be judged by love. The love we have in our hearts is what matters and did we grow in love of God and love of Neighbor through this campaign. Thank God for the opportunity to serve and pray and witness with you all, and I look forward to seeing you in the fall. God bless.
CLOSING EVENT!

I loved the two guys praying while we were processing! Happy Holy Week my 40 days for Life brothers and sisters. Have a blessed Good Friday and a Happy Easter!
Thanks Billy and the same to you! It’s been so great partnering with you! I’ll be praying for you!
Thank YOU to all the team members & all of the wonderful volunteers !! Many people are praying with you & for you !!
Was blessed to be able to pray on 1-3 shift today. Thank God that the terrible place was closed today and it was a clement day. We stayed after shift and waited for our beloved Bishop Waltersheid to bring Our Lord to confront the evil of that place. Bishop led us in procession to Epiphany Church. We thanked our police escort and were uplifted and moved to see the two men in above photo leave their cars and kneel on the street as Our Lord was passing by. Reminded me of the disciples of Jesus who witnessed His walk to Calvary and showed Him respect and honor even in their sorrow. Thank you to Bishop Waltersheid for a beautiful Palm Sunday Liturgy and to all who participated in these 40DFL, the opening and closing processions and Masses. Surely our prayers are heard in heaven. As Bishop said today, “May we see the closing of PP in our lifetime.” Amen.
