It’s a Balancing Act!
When at PP, oftentimes it’s difficult to juggle all we wish to accomplish when there are less of us: – initially, setting up (and taking down later) our materials and then watching over them, – naturally, a little time is reserved for touching base with our friends, or handing off a report to the next shift, – cheerfully greeting all who pass by and handing out helpful info incase they might need it, – vigilantly keeping an eye out for incoming and outgoing workers and clients, attempting to engage them in conversation, ready to mobilize if we can help, – BUT, the most important occupation of time is that spent in PRAYER. For, without bringing Our Dear Lord into our endeavor, we most certainly labor in VAIN! Simply remaining nearby and PRAYING is a tremendous support to our work on the sidewalk. Time to apply a little pressure, if you have yet to participate in this 40Days Season. Perhaps I can make you feel a tiny bit guilty? Remember the Parable of the Talents in Matthew’s 25th Chapter? Don’t bury whatever you have. Consider using it to do something great, or even GREATER!

SIDEWALK REPORTS
7:30-9 AM +++ Joe, Tim, and David

TIM: We had a strong presence in front of the abortuary this morning with the team of prayer warriors from Triumph of the Cross on both sides which was especially good today. There were several big groups of teenagers heading towards the convention center and all of our signs and prayers warriors had to make an impact and impression on them. Sadly several couples ignored us and still went inside. Hopefully we planted some “seeds” inside the hearts of all the young people. God bless you all.
9-11 AM +++ Sue and Bill

SUE: Bill and I were joined by a church group from Seneca who we met last fall when they participated. Joey, Elizabeth and her son and leader Kelly were a beautiful witness for Life and also support their local pregnancy resource center in Clarion PA. Regular faithful prayer Nadine also was with us this morning. Pp was very very busy…so very very sad today for the babies, the moms and the poor escorts.
There was a cheer competition at the convention center, so a lot of people passing by. 2 women with a young little cheerleader and an infant wrapped up in a snuggly, wooly onesie (looking like a little lamb) stopped right in front to cross the street. The women directed their little cheerleader to go over and look at the fetal models…so we had an opportunity to talk and give her the baby model and the precious feet. The baby was her 12 week old sibling…it was just a heartwarming moment!
We also had negative comments and gestures, but when I got in my car and turned on the radio…a scripture on WAOB was proclaimed…detest evil and retain the good. So I am “retaining the good” by holding those beautiful pro-life women and children in my heart today!
11 AM-1 PM +++ Dean and Chris

LOL
DEAN: Today’s highlight came when I scrambled thru the info case to find something in Spanish for Chris to hand out. I did.
1-3 PM +++ Kathy

KATHY: Grateful to God for Vince and Tucker who prayed on sidewalk with me. Early in shift, a couple entered pp, man took Blessing bag, gave eye to eye contact as he heard, ”come talk to us, Dad”. They left at end of shift. Smiling, he said we have your pamphlet as they hurried by.
Also a young woman took blessing bag as she entered pp, came out quickly. Said, “No English” We gave her spanish brochure. She came back with boyfriend, he spoke some ENGLISH, nodded she is pregnant. Live in Brookline .Nodded about going to Choices .Smiling. Hopeful encounter!
God was with us as wind was so strong ripped signs off of post!
3-5 PM +++ Jeff and Billy

BILLY: For today’s shift we had a lot of passersby and very few interactions. I saw a few people coming out of the clinic. One guy gave us a thumbs up and a man came over to Jeff and thanked him for being here.
