Hearing the parable of Lazarus and the rich man can prompt some uneasy reflection. Am I also guilty of going about my comfortable life without noticing the person in need right at my door? Of course, I am. We all are, at times.
Jesus tells us this parable to wake us up before it’s too late. Right now, we still have time to open our eyes to the physically or spiritually poor people around us, especially women tempted to end the lives of their children. Right now, we still have time to share the gifts we’ve been given, especially in support of moms who choose life despite difficult circumstances. That time won’t last forever, though.
Please check your heart and your calendar to see when you can share your gifts on the sidewalk. The need is great, and the time is short!
Jen & Vince: 7:30 – 9am

Beautiful morning, peaceful vigil. Faithful Vince and Rich prayed all the mysteries of the Rosary and a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for pro-life intentions.

Ken & Pat S: 9 – 11am

The first Sunday of this campaign was a quiet one. Very little traffic or pedestrians. An early morning Steelers game and road closures due to the Great Race led to a peaceful prayerful day on Liberty Avenue for Pat and I. Our picture includes Rich and Roseann who took over at 11:00 am.

Roseann & Rich: 11am – 1pm

A beautiful day in Pittsburgh, both weather wise and witnessing.

Andy & Charlie 1 – 3pm

How nice of the city to make a no parking zone right in front of our prayer vigil. It gives us the opportunity to walk the street without fear of having to dodge parked cars. I noticed there’s no no parking to the left or to the right or across the street. What a coincidence that it’s only right in front of where we pray and the same time of the year will be praying here. lol

Sue M, Steve & Denise: 3-5pm
A quiet prayerful afternoon with Sue.
