God’s Justice & Mercy
If we honored each baby aborted since 1973 with a moment of silence, we would be silent for 100 years.
“True and just are His judgements, true and just are His ways,” said by Pastor Shane Holden, First Free Church, Onalaska, WI. God’s Word sets the standard for everything; not culture, not feelings. God forbids murder. God displays His justice by judging sin and His mercy by saving sinners. What a mighty God we serve!
Proverbs 17:15 He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.
Proverbs 24:11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
We show up each week for our shift because we want to rescue those being led to the slaughter, the unborn baby created by God in His image, an image bearer. They are led by the very person, the one who bears the infant in her womb, and she should be doing everything in her power to protect that innocent child. Oh how it grieves us to watch and witness this. Oh how it grieves God. It is an abomination to Him! God is always forgiving but He never condones sin.
God we thank you for your Word and truth and that Your Word sets the standards for everything. Please help us to pursue your standards of righteousness and justice. God we praise You for this ministry on the sidewalk that You have called us to. We give You all honor, praise & glory due your name. Father we are so grieved by the many innocent lives, Your image bearers, that are ripped apart in their mother’s wombs or starved by a pill and expelled by another pill. God we cry out to You to abolish abortion for Your glory.
Father we pray that a wave of repentance falls across our land and Holy Spirit revival breaks out. Have Your way Lord and change hearts and minds as only You can. We speak LIFE over our land and Your hedge of protection over all You create and knit together in their mother’s womb. We say Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty who was, and is, and is to come. We say come Lord Jesus and ask all this in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

SIDEWALK REPORTS
7:30-9 AM +++ Cheryl and Kathy

KATHY: Thanks to Cheryl and Rick for setting up and to Nikki and Jen for camera set up help.
Mainly workers entering pp this morning. Literature was passed out to several passersby who willingly accepted. One man, Keith, stopped to share his support for our mission. He was shocked by the 6,000 babies aborted stated on our sign. God is the giver of life and who are we to kill his children. We conversed a bit longer and then he left.
A couple who appeared to abortion bounded, stopped to listen to my offer of pregnancy resources but declined and entered. Within minutes they exited, but after 5-10 minutes, they were back again declined help again. So sad.
9-11 AM +++ Judy, Ken, and Michele

JUDY: It seemed a little bit busy when my hubby and I first arrived for our shift. It seemed like a lot of employees were going in as well as “consumers.” It was a beautiful sunny morning as we shared the sidewalk with Ken and Randy. And we were joined by Michelle later in the shift.
We offered resources to many people but no one was receptive.
A gentleman stopped by and said he appreciated what we were doing here. So we had the opportunity to pray with him and he prayed for us as well.
11 AM- 1 PM +++ Linda, Ed, and Sam

LINDA: Our shift was busy with women and couples going in and out of Planned Parenthood.
Thank you to Michelle, Sam and Ed, and Bob, who stopped by to pray briefly.
There was one interesting encounter. A couple who looked like they were there for an abortion went into Planned Parenthood. The did not accept any information, but as a sidewalk counselor, I was able to speak a few words to them as they entered the building. As they waited at the front desk, the woman kept looking at me, and was smiling (or maybe smirking) uneasily. They were scanned by security and went upstairs.
After only about 10 minutes, they exited the building. They did not speak with any of us, but did accept our literature. We cannot know, but perhaps a baby was saved?
I was also able to talk with a man who had gone in with a woman, but had exited and was waiting in his car. He told me they already had the abortion, and it was a follow-up appointment. He accepted information about post-abortion counseling.
1-3 PM +++ Carolyn, Cil, and Fr. Jim

CIL: Beautiful weather this week.
Thankful that my good “old” friend Joyce could join Fr and I for the ride. And that our friend, Diane, also from St Francis, was willing to meet us there. Carolyn found Our Lady waiting for her. Rosaries were prayed and a Divine Mercy.
There were many faithful Mennonites…in for their Reach convention. They were very receptive of our materials, appreciative of our efforts, and one couple prayed over our whole group. When we first arrived, a family stopped by with 4+ children. They took a feet pin and watch me grow. They showed them the baby models and then explained to their children that the child in her womb was almost 12 weeks. Beautiful teaching moment!
PP was like a revolving door today. Sad. Odd that some people were leaving PP with grocery bags that seemed to have groceries. Not sure. Maybe it’s a new perk for employees? Gotta bribe them to stay somehow I guess.
I was encouraged by some “one on one” conversations and people who took resources and said they would share. One young man was graduating HS this year and had an internship down the street. Its great that the young kids understand that abortion is wrong.
3-5 PM +++ Pete, Bill, and Patty

PETE: What a difference a week makes! Last week was cold and windy, today warm and sunny. Seemed like the Lord was smiling on us, despite what was going on inside. There were many pleasant passersby and some words of encouragement from them. Patty joined Bill and I for our shift. It was good to have Our Lady of Guadalupe with us; I felt shielded and protected. We prayed a Divine Mercy Chaplet along with the Luminous and Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. During the praying of the Sorrowful Mysteries, 2 women came out of PP and Patty approached and talked to them. One said she had changed her mind. Patty offered her the small green card (with the QR codes) from our kit that has numerous resources, including help after pregnancy, and she accepted. Praise God!

Praise God for a life saved today! Thanks to all who were there today!
