Day 6…Thanks to St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish & Faithful team members and volunteers!

My wife frequently tells me, “You just don’t listen.  Well, ok, she is right sometimes.

However, sometimes I do listen but not with my ears, but instead with the ears of my heart. Recently on a Saturday morning downtown outside the closed planned parenthood,  I heard God whispering to me.

Since the clinic was closed, the early team decided we should pack up our material and head home to take advantage of this “early dismissal”. Woo-hoo!  However, the ears of my heart heard whispering say “Stay a little while.”  “Maybe someone will come downtown and try to go into the abortion mill without knowing it is closed.”  So, I thought, OK, this makes sense.  I’ll stay a little while.

Then that little whisper said, “Don’t forget to get some new literature to hand out and especially the new Spanish folder”.   So, I was able to fill up from one of the departing team members and began to pray.  Shortly thereafter, a young, Hispanic couple came walking toward the clinic but didn’t appear to be going into the clinic as they neither slowed nor moved toward the door. And then that voice whispered, “Go ahead approach them anyway and offer some resource material.”  “Oh yeah, and smile and look pleasant.”  So, I did all of that.  They both took information but didn’t say anything. So, I asked, “Do you speak Spanish?” and she responded, “Yes, both” so then I gave them the Spanish version.  They intently began reading as they walked away.  We hoped that maybe we planted a seed to grow later or might help a friend or family member.

They stopped further down the street but kept reading, and then turned around, while still reading they walked past us.  However, they then made a move toward the clinic door, found it locked and then kept moving along. We were taken aback.

We don’t know what happened next but I am hopeful.  We just smiled and said, “Good that we were here” and chuckled at how God whispered to our hearts, encouraged us to stay and to get the new Spanish literature into their hands.  Hopefully the seeds we planted will grow with God’s graces bestowed upon them and they won’t return to the clinic.

So, it goes to show, sometimes I do listen. 😊  If God is whispering to the ears of your heart… Listen.  If HE wants you to witness downtown, GO. Be Not Afraid.  Sign up or show up but, go. God bless you all.  Tim

It was cloudy with light rain. A Knights of Columbus gentleman named Mike stopped on his way to work to give us his support, prayers and encouragement. It was so gratifying to see and hear Mike’s uplifting words. It appeared to be only staff entering PP during our shift. There were numerous staff so we surmised they may be having a training or in-service.

Mark and I would say to the staff: “go to abortionworkers.com” and you could tell they did not like us saying that to them. One woman said “Stop bothering me.”

It is a blessing to be a  presence there.

Dave,  Billy and I made it through the rain. We handed out a little literature but everyone seemed in a hurry to get out of the downpour. No clients, just lots of PP employees along with the cleaning crew and the toxic waste pickup (pretty depressing).

But prayers for tomorrow’s clients were offered today. Beth

The constant rain today didn’t dampen the prayers of the 11am -1pm crew, including Mike, Marie and Tom, pictured here

There was group that stopped by who had attended a prayer conference. They were from   New Jersey Then there was the regular people from our group praying. Ginny

I forgot about taking a picture. It was very quiet today. no abortions today. Tom stood with me and Susan came at 2. we had 1 girl stop and thanked us for being there and helping those in need. otherwise,  it was pretty quiet. Patty

Thanks to Sue, Joanne and Dan for praying in the rain today!

Fairly quiet today as the rain fell down and our prayers went up , few people going in and out of PP as we prayed The Joyous Mysteries, and Divine mercy Chaplet .
