Today is Day 38…we’re nearly done with our Fall 2022 campaign! Thank you for all the time and energy you’ve invested in this labor of love. May God refresh you with beautiful holidays filled with faith, family, and friends in the next few months. But please use the momentum we have right now to make pro-life work a regular part of your plans!
pray
Please continue to intercede for unborn children, pregnant women in crisis, and all who sacrifice to help them. Pray for the conversion of abortion workers, abortion supporters, pro-abortion public officials, and pro-abortion media outlets. May God have mercy on us all!
While we can and should pray wherever we find ourselves, consider coming back to the sidewalk to pray with 40 Days For Life 365, too! We’ll be there between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM from Tuesday through Saturday each week. Email pghsaland365@gmail.com to let us know you’re coming so we can pair you up with another volunteer.
educate
Pro-life books, articles, blogs, podcasts, and videos can strengthen your ability to defend life in a loving and persuasive manner. Share information on social media to educate others, too! Here’s one great resource: https://focusequip.org/introducing-the-love-life-video-series/
If you’re ready to take it a step further, join us on November 19th for the next Sidewalk Advocates training, where you’ll learn the most effective way to reach out to someone considering abortion. Put your new skills to use on Liberty Avenue, where the SA’s offer hope and help five days a week, year-round. Email pghsal365@gmail.com for more details.
volunteer
As mentioned above, the Sidewalk Advocates and 40DFL365 prayer warriors will be at PP between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM from Tuesday through Saturday each week. We need as many people as possible to ensure that every women approaching knows there is help and hope available. Email pghsaland365@gmail.com so we can pair you up with another volunteer at the time that works best for you.
There are also wonderful opportunities to support those who bravely choose life for their unborn children. These include filling packages of baby supplies for moms enrolled in the Rosalia Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program (email volunteer@ccpgh.org) and packing diapers at the Western PA Diaper Bank (https://www.wpadiaperbank.org/volunteer). Your mentoring, cooking, or gardening talents can be put to good use at Genesis of Pittsburgh https://genesispgh.org/volunteer/.
donate
Organizations helping new moms in need are literally a lifeline for families fearful of welcoming another child when they’re already struggling to make ends meet. Give them your financial support or send them baby supplies. (Don’t forget to give them your prayers, too!)

vote
Don’t forget to vote for pro-life candidates on Tuesday! It’s more important than ever now that the overturning of Roe v. Wade has thrown the issue of abortion back to the states to decide. A person must understand and respect the sanctity of human life to be qualified for public office!
There are a lot more ways to stay involved and many great organizations to support…too many for one blog post. Use any of these suggestions or research other opportunites, but PLEASE keep up the good fight. Thank you, and may God bless you!

SIDEWALK REPORTS
7 AM +++ Jeannie, Barbara, and Susan
It was a busy day on the sidewalk this morning. Sadly, we had two couples go in for abortions. They took our material but quickly destroyed it once they got into the lobby. We had a little disagreement with Glynn because there was a crew from Belgium filming and he felt they shouldn’t be within the buffer zone. We had the letter that shows that we were allowed to be in there. He didn’t call the police, so I guess everything‘s OK. Fetal models are intact and we’re gonna figure out a way to keep them down there for the 40 Days for Life 365.
Jeannie

9 AM +++ Michael, Kathy, and Mark
Thanks to The Culture Project, Shift buddies Michael and Mark, SA Kim, and Mary S. for coming today. Bill H. also stopped by.
Police arrived due to call from PP security guard due to a buffer zone issue. The officers advised us to contact “City Law” or the Mayor to clarify issue before leaving.
More than usual negative comments directed toward us. A bright spot occurred when “Monica” stopped by on her way to the bus stop and prayed with us, accepted literature, and said she’d pass it on and thanked us for our witness to life. This occurred after an angry man stopped to swear at Mary and me, took our pictures, and threatened to find out where we live from face recognition. He left quickly after I took my phone out and did the same to him.
Prayers were offered to end abortion, literature offered to clients, and a few passersby stopped to talk to offer their support.
Kathy
11 AM +++ Katie and Elsie
Elsie and I were joined by Mary, Megan and Mary Ann for a very quiet, uneventful last shift of the campaign. But PP will carry on committing abortions, so please consider joining us year-round!
Katie

1 PM +++ Elaine and Donna
God blessed us with a beautiful day again on our last Friday of this campaign. Elaine and I were blessed by our faithful friends from St. Matthew Parish: Theresa, Mary Ann, Kathleen, Frank and Bob. We thank God for them and Glenn who has been with us most of this campaign too. There were a lot of people out and about today. One gentleman stopped to talk for a long time. He was very passionate and on our side. He was getting loud and even Glynn popped his head out to see what was going on. We handed out cards and information. Some prayed the rosary and others prayed quietly and played worship music. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do. God bless our 40 DFL Family and all who came to pray, witness and stand for life. God will give us victory! To God be the glory!
Donna

3 PM +++ Val and Mike
Thank you to the beautiful members from Christ the Divine Shepherd parish for praying with us today.
Please pray for all those who do not believe in life everlasting.
Val

5 PM +++ Pat and Charlie

Thank you all for your viable witnessing to life and for the courage you demonstrated for the 40 days. God give you heaven for what you did witnessing to life to God in front of a despicable and hellish place, in front of Planned Parenthood! May your untiring daily presence for 40 days be imprinted in their minds as people entered their torture chamber for babies, God’s creation! I was honored to be your prayer warrior throughout the 40 Days of Life!

God Bless You too Sister Jolenta! 🙂
