Laborers Needed for the Harvest!
We’ve just about completed our task with the Fall campaign, and I can imagine hearing Our Lord say, “Well done good and faithful servant!”, to each and all of you for your efforts and sacrifices.
Want to hear it again? One way to increase the probability would be to continue to work in HIS vineyard. You know the one that needs laborers…it’s downtown at 933 Liberty Avenue.
While our Fall Campaign ends on Sunday, we also need you to help with the ongoing planting, pruning and harvesting...Oh yeah, and changing hearts, saving babies and souls. PP doesn’t close at the end of our campaign. The harvest is still abundant but the laborers are few. If you feel you are being called to join the prayer warriors and Sidewalk Advocates who are outside pp year-round, then listen to your heart, have courage and take action. Come when needed, come when you can but please come back.
We are outside pp every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30- 3:00 (and we are working on trying to fill Mondays). Please listen with the ears of your heart and join us if you are being called and bring your light, compassion and hope to the darkness of downtown. We can and do work miracles in HIS name. So come join us in the harvest. Come once a month, once a week, once a quarter. Every minute you are there can make a big difference.
To all who participated in any way in this campaign whatsoever, thanks you all for all you did tirelessly working in HIS vineyard. Well done good and faithful servant.
GBY Tim

PLEASE continue to pray for Joe and Nikki! Joe’s lung deflated again, so he can’t be discharged from the hospital for at least another few days. If you can sub for Nikki on the sidewalk this Thursday from 7:30-9:00 AM, please email pghsaland365@gmail.com or sign yourself up at https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/Pittsburgh. Thank you!
Read on to hear from today’s harvesters…
7:30-9:00 – Michael & Mark

This is the coldest Monday of this campaign. We asked Glenn the security guard about Stacey the security guard. He called her last week and she hasn’t got back to him. Please keep her in prayer. We spoke with a couple who were entering PP. They were apprehensive about going into PP. We asked if they wanted to speak with us and they declined. We asked if they were seeking an abortion and they said no. Not certain if they were being truthful. Pray for them. This is our last day for us. We all need to do 3 things: Pray, Pray, Pray, Michael
9:00-11:00 – Judy G & Mary L

It was sunny but cold this morning. Sadly, it seemed likely that abortions were taking place this Monday— several women went in and only one would accept literature. A trio of young women came out, we did not see them enter and we did give them some post abortive literature. Mark from the early shift showed us a bag left filled with “blessing bag” gifts of personal care items, socks and snacks. One homeless gentleman stopped and asked for prayers. We prayed with him and gave him one of those bags. He was greatly appreciative.
11:00-1:00 – Marie H & Katie

I know I wasn’t the shift manager today but I just wanted to send some pictures I just took right before I left. I asked the driver “do you know what’s in there?” And he said “I don’t care” and I said “it’s probably bodies; I can’t imagine what other type of “medical waste” they would have” and he just said “you can take pictures of the boxes just don’t take pictures of me”. I was thinking of asking for them after he scanned them like Terrisa Bukovinac and Lauren Handy did, but I couldn’t think of how to word it, but I should have at least tried.
1:00-3:00 – Tom & Susan

Ann, MaryAnn, Elizabeth, Desiree, Tomasine, and Ron supported our vigil today, they came all the way in from Clarion! We got to say the Joyful Mystery Rosary, as well as the Divine Mercy Chaplet together. The usual others (Susan, myself, and Red – Security) were the rest of today’s team. As noted by Susan, it was very busy downtown due to the Steelers game. We were able to expose a lot of people to our prolife messages through our signs and also silent prayer. We had a few people interested in some information in the pamphlets, and one person, a young lady, stopped by wearing a pink vest… the kind you might find on a highway worker. Her job was to walk around downtown and sign up people to vote, and her ’employer’ was evidently a political party. While her task was non-party affiliated (“are you gonna vote?”) the logo on her pink vest said “Planned Parenthood”! We asked her if she was an escort for PP and she insisted she had nothing to do with PP, that was the vest supplied to her by whoever hired her. In any case, she expressed partial alignment with our goal (she could not decide if 2 months was too late for an abortion, although we kept reminding her that from the time of conception was when it was not OK) and she seemed genuinely interested in helping either a friend or a niece who both asked her to help with their pregnancies. We can only pray that she was sincere and will relay some info on to the friend and/or niece. –Tom
3:00-5:00- Dan & Joanne

Fairly quiet today at PP, a few people told us they agreed with what we were doing . One lady kept screaming something at us from her car at the red light by the DMV place but I couldn’t make out what all she was saying, although it sounded like she was telling us we should mind our own business. Made me wonder how much she would want me to mind my own business if someone was killing her!
Another lady stopped and held her cell phone out towards me and told me to scan the QR code and it would tell me how I could show someone how they can get an abortion at Planned Parenthood. I told her there was no way I would scan that and sent her on her way , but she turned around and said “ some babies just need to go” ! I don’t know if people just say crazy stuff like that to see if they can get a rise out of us! Or do they really feel that way!
