Day 32…Thanks to Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, First Evangelical Free Church & Our Amazing Team!

Let’s admit it. Sometimes, life can be….er….. messy!  Does that prevent us from continuing to put one foot in front of the other? No. Day in and day out, we stalwart soldiers will don our armor and set out to confront who-knows-what. Paralysis is not an option.

Will we encounter hostility near the doors of the abortion mill? Maybe, or maybe not. Will our shift be uneventful? Maybe, or maybe not. We never know what is in store for us at 933 Liberty Avenue. That might cause a little anxiety for newcomers. No worries! Seasoned warriors are there every day. You don’t have to do anything but smile and pray. The Holy Spirit works through those simple gestures. We leave the heavy lifting to Him!

This 40Days Campaign is winding down. But, there’s still time to come join us! Get MOOOOOOVING! (please?)

Tracy

Wonderful team member Beth, with an amazing group from Triumph of the Holy Cross parish!

(from Tim) We were blessed to have a large group from Triumph of the Holy Cross, including a beautiful family with young children plus a few others of the faithful totaling nearly two dozen prayer warriors. They made a powerful witness to the large groups of young people going to the convention center.

Sadly several couples entered the clinic, one kept looking back at our six week unborn baby sign and our pleading to come out, but she did not.
Let’s hope and pray we changed some hearts and minds despite our not seeing the harvest of our efforts.

(From Ann) – It was a busy day at Planned Parenthood. Many couples and women went in on my shift.

I was joined by my father and a number of people from the First Free Evangelical Church of McKeesport and the Cranberry Community Church as well as Bill for the first half of my shift and a man passing by who stopped and prayed a rosary.

First Evangelical Free Church is a faithful participant of 40 Days for Life!
Renai with shift anchor Kathy, what a beautiful display of selfless faith!

Sat. 3/21/2026 11-1 shift: Erika, Vince, Nadine, (I missed the 3rd woman’s name), Chris, and Kelly (David) took the photo.

Sadly PP was very busy today. No patrons nor passers-by were interested in pro-life literature. We did hand out literature to two patrons as they exited Planned Parenthood. Other than that, lots of fervent praying by our Catholic friends, and lots of Scripture reading from our Evangelical friends; so we were definitely covering all the bases.

All is in God’s hands and under our Lady’s protection. God bless you.

1-3 shift: James. Prayed diligently. Renai,James and I prayed. Many came out, a few went in. Many passerbys read sign. Prayers were said for them.

Many escorts til 1:30. Glen came out and they went in: no more women went in, several took info exiting. James gave rosary to young man who lost his cross. He just got out of prison.

(From Mary) A young woman who approached us to argue with us about abortion said that she often stops by when she sees people out there to “get their views” but she really wants to tell us that our signs are wrong about women being harmed by abortion pills and that abortion is good healthcare, pregnancy can kill women, etc, the usual baseless talking points. She was polite but definitely not open to any of the facts. She thinks that we are all biased Christians and told us she would pray for us (to whom, I wanted to ask) Anyway, I just wanted to warn people that they may be approached by her. I countered everything she said and tried to give her a green brochure but she wouldn’t accept it. Again, she’s not aggressive and appears to be polite but definitely not open to the facts.

Also the usual homeless people were there and after the guard left they seemed to be congregating in front of PP, not sure what it was but something definitely changed hands. I didn’t feel safe having our display there so Billy and I brought everything back by 4:30.

(From Billy) Today Mary and I were here. We were led by a prayer from James and Kathy from prior before he left. We had a beautiful day outside. A guy walked by and asked me to high five him for being pro life he agreed with us. Then we had a girl tell us the abortion pill sign of 1 of 10 women was wrong. Mary graciously handled and I stepped in closer to the end. Another girl stopped to support her. The girl said she had an abortion and the original girl praised her. This girl apparently comes and frequently and engages with other shifts so be on the look out and pray for her.  Then Mary and I ended with a prayer.
