Opportunities & Blessings On The Sidewalk
When we commit and say “YES” to God by coming to pray and witness in front of Planned Parenthood, God shows up. Look for the blessings because they are there. It may be a “God bless you” or “thank you for being here” or “keep doing what you are doing” or “you are making a difference”. God is with us and always goes before us, behind us, He is above us and beside us. The battle belongs to the Lord. He never ceases to amaze me how He works in our midst at one of the darkest place in our city, the abortion mill. We stand literally at the gates of hell as babies are led to the slaughter by their own mothers and fathers. We cry out to the Lord, “how long Lord will you allow this to go on? When will this end?” Even when we can’t see it God is working in our midst. He will right this wrong and He will judge those who lead these littlest ones to their death, destruction and dismemberment. He is coming again soon and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is in our midst. It’s time that the Church, the Body of Christ awakens from their apathy, sleep, slumber and stupor and repents to turning a blind eye to the most wicked of things, child sacrifice; which has defiled our land. The blood of the innocent is running under our streets and God will not hold us guiltless. What is it going to take for the Church to stand on the authority of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit and take back the land that God has given us? Arise Church, let’s be about the Lord’s business and not our own. We were never meant to stay inside the 4 walls of the Church. It’s time we say: “here I am Lord, send me”.
God we thank you and praise you for all You are doing in our midst. You are changing hearts and minds. You bless our obedience and we are grateful for the strength You give us to persevere in this battle for LIFE. We repent of our part in turning a blind eye to this modern day holocaust of abortion. We repent of our apathy and complacency. Forgive us Lord for we have turned our back on the most innocent among us. Your Word says that You hate the hands that shed innocent blood. We thank you that You will abolish abortion for Your glory, You will remove & uproot the evil & perversion from our schools, You will expose all the deeds done in the darkness. We know that nothing is hidden from Your sight and You will work ALL things for Your good and Your glory. Jesus, You are the answer to all the problems of this world. We ask You to remove the blinders and veils from those who cannot see You and Your Word & Truth. We pray for all those who pass by us that are hostile that they would have encounters with you, Jesus. Give them dreams and visions and let them see we pray. We ask all this in the most precious name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

SIDEWALK REPORTS
7:30-9 AM +++ Cheryl and Charlie

CHERYL: Quiet morning at PP. About 3 single women went in mostly workers. Sidewalk was busy with people walking by, one gentleman came by when we were setting up talking to us . He supported us in every way. He had some money in his hand and wanted to give it to us. We said no you keep it, he went over to bag and threw it in with signs. He said now I feel good! God bless his heart. Pittsburgh Public Works truck and men putting in iron grates around trees. They were very busy and nice to us. Conrad came at 9:00 and will stay with Charlie till 10. Have a blessed week.
9-11 AM +++ Charlie, Conrad, and Michele
CONRAD: We prayed and offered literature and pleas. About 8 entered the gates. At least one said she not abortion minded.
One woman came out about 11 with her partner and stared at the fetal models. She complained what are you doing here?? Terri started to respond but the woman said “ Well I killed it”. I said “What was the name of your baby?” She responded “It didn’t have a name “. Please pray for her and the other mothers of nameless aborted children. Terri said “One day she will realize what she has done “. Dear Jesus may these mothers find Your mercy and forgiveness and healing!!
11 AM-1 PM +++ Linda, Ed, and Sam

LINDA: There was much prayer support on the sidewalk during our shift. Many thanks to Deacon Paul from the Byzantine Catholic Church and Fr. Andrew and the Knights of Columbus from the Greenburg Diocese. Their prayers and singing during our shift was a heavenly blessing!
There was steady traffic in and out of PP. When one woman gave me multiple one fingered salutes and mouthed obscenities toward me from inside the glass doors, I was able to reply with smiles and blessings and told her that we were there to love her child, even if she did not. And that is why we are there. We greet the unseen child with perhaps the last loving thoughts and prayers they will receive in their natural life.
A passerby had a long but polite conversation with Sam, trying to change his views.
Thank you to Michele, Sam, Ed, Bob, Jim, Tom and David, for being with us on the sidewalk today.
1-3 PM +++ Carolyn, Cil, and Fr. Jim

CIL: We had a wonderful turnout from St Raphael the Archangel Parish. They kept up the prayers throughout the shift. Thank you to David, Walter, Jim, Al, Bob, Fred and Fran! Carolyn came with Mary and they were in the middle of praying when Fr Jim, Diane and I arrived. And as we were leaving, the prayers continued.
I was able to talk with a young lady who came out. She took materials and a red rose from Mary. But she said it was too late for her friend. She seemed a little sad about it but would not try to stop her. There were many “sad” victims today. It’s hard to fathom how people can be so callous to their own flesh and blood.
A vehicle pulled up with a West Virginia license plate. A woman quickly came out of PP and hopped into the passenger seat as I tried to reach out to her. I noticed there were two kids in the backseat maybe elementary or preschool age. The one sweet child was looking at me the whole time so I gave a little wave and he gave a big smile. My heart was so crushed thinking about the sibling they just lost…
Had a mix of positive and negative reactions. It would seem that nobody there for the gymnastics meet wanted material. But I was able to get enough out to others during the shift and had a few helpful conversations.
A pastor from NC said their church was going to participate in a Vigil in a week down there. So he had questions, was able to witness us at work and even got involved in a conversation with a lady too.
May all the Archangels defend us in this battle for Life!
3-5 PM +++ Bill, Patty, and Seamus

PATTY: A wonderful group of prayer warriors from St Raphael the Archangel Parish were present from 3-4:00. Al, Bob, Fred, Lynne, Christine, Joan and Laura were busy praying the rosary, Divine Mercy chaplet and other pro-life prayers in a booklet they brought. Many had been there for the prior hour also. Quiet except for the passing school children. Only one group of 3 young people left, focused on getting across the street and then workers began to leave. Bill was joined by (?) Sean for the last hour.
