Day 30…Thanks to Lincoln Place Church of the Nazarene, St. Francis & St. Clare of Assisi Parishes, Central Highlands United Methodist Church, Mary, Mother of God Parish, Dedicated Team Members and Volunteers!

As we step out in faith each and every time we show up to pray to end abortion where we live, we are believing for a mighty move of God. We are not ashamed to stand outside of PP to extend a helping hand, converse with passersby and share the hope of Jesus, our only hope.  In Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. God has called each and every one of us to this battle. He is with us and He is on our side.  We need not fear! We know the slaughter of those innocent little babies breaks the heart of God and it breaks ours too.  How like the enemy to attack the most vulnerable among us. We take a STAND for those who cannot speak for themselves.  We are trying to rescue those being led to the slaughter. Psalm 24:11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. We know that God is on the side of LIFE always because Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life. “  We know those on the left and the progressives want abortion to be the only option.  We see it in the legislation that is coming down the pike in PA.  We need all hands on deck.  We just watched the documentary “Letter To The American Church”.  It compares the American church with the churches in Germany of the 1930’s.  It’s time to WAKE UP.  Dietrich Bonhoeffer said “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil; God will not hold us guiltless.  Not to speak is to speak.  Not to act is to act. If you would like to see it, let us know we are happy to share it.  It is a wake up call to the church in America.  We are like the frog in boiling water and we don’t even realize the water is boiling.  Many are believing the lies and propaganda fed by the mainstream media, and can also be found many churches. God is the only one who can change hearts and minds.  He is hearing our prayers and using us in a mighty way to shine His light in the darkness. We are down to the last quarter of this campaign, 10 days left to come and join us in this campaign.  WE NEED YOU!  Are you feeling the tug on your heart to answer the call?  Will you be obedient?

Father God we humbly come before your throne of grace. We thank you, praise you and give you glory for calling us out of darkness into your marvelous light.  We repent of our part in turning a blind eye and ignoring what is happening right in front of us; the babies being slaughtered in their mother’s wombs, the research being done and turning babies into lab rats and organ harvesting on babies.  Oh Father we grieve these things. Forgive us Lord and we ask you to heal our land. Father your Word says in Psalm 7:14-16 Behold the wicked man conceives evil  and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made.  His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.  Lord we are believing for a mighty move of your hand. We are believing that You will hinder those doing evil, expose them, bring justice upon them.  We do pray for their salvation and that blinders and veils will be removed and they would come to know you as Lord and Savior.  Lord we pray that any evil plans will fall back on their heads just like it did for Haman in the book of Esther.  He built the gallows for Mordecai and he himself was hung on them.  We are believing the Holy Spirit will flow freely through our city, state, nation and world and repentance and revival will break out.  We believe America will be saved and abortion will be no more.  We believe America will be a Sanctuary for Life.  Life will be celebrated and NOT death.  We thank you for the lives saved and ask your protection over all mothers and their wombs.  We bind the enemy who wants to steal, kill and destroy.  We speak JESUS over our land and know your word says that what we bind on earth will be bound and what we loose on earth will be loosed.  We the body of Christ ask you to REVIVE US and REFINE US so we burn hot for you.  Let your Holy Spirit fill us to overflowing.  Use us as you will Lord and let us answer the call and be obedient only to you.  We ask all this in Jesus name. Amen

To God alone be the glory.

Pittsburgh’s Liberty Avenue at the corner with 7th Avenue was sunny, warm and bustling this morning. Beloved Kathy joined Richard and me. The security gentleman, large and confident, casually watched what had become a crowded sidewalk. Surely good things reign in this place. They do not. This is a battlefield.
The employees, people we have come to recognize, hurried into pp. About 6 couples arrived separately,  quickly checked out the address high above the front doors, looked at each other, and hurried in. We offer free abundant loving care to families with a crisis pregnancy. “Abortion to save the life of the mother” is the official, government funded hideous USA Mantra, persistent and loud.  Sometimes we DO save a baby, a mother, a father. Today, on our shift, we think we did not.
Creation thrives in God’s care. We feel privileged to be here.

This morning Pastor Joe, Chuck and I arrived and were pleasantly surprised to see the sunshine in the dark corner of Pittsburgh. Thank you, Jesus! We were joined mid-shift by Bonnie from Mother of God parish. Before the end of our shift, we were joined by Sam from St. Marys and Tom from St. Joan of Arc in Uniontown. (Or I might have their parish affiliation backwards) I met L. looking for 933. I asked her if she was going in for an abortion, and she said yes. I asked her if she would consider taking a look at our pamphlet with free women’s resources. I showed her the pamphlet and she took it. I got a few moments to talk about the effects an abortion could have on her and the other options available for her to choose. I asked her if I could pray for her and the baby and she said yes. I told her that her child is a gift from God. She seemed somewhat touched during prayer. I told her that even though she had an appointment at PP, God had a divine appointment for her somewhere else. But after the prayer, she was still looking for 933. When I showed her the door, she said she already had a child. I told her she didn’t need to keep the appointment and we would reimburse her any money she lost. But she went in and checked in and went through the door to her appointment. In less than 10 minutes she came out, told us to have a good day and started talking on her phone. Was this a save? At least for the moment it is. Let’s all agree in prayer for L. and her baby. I was able to approach a young couple when they came out of PP and waited for the light. She was carrying a brown bag. I offered them a resource pamphlet and they politely said no. J. came toward me with a surgical boot and lots of gauze sticking out and told me his injury story. I was able to pray with him for healing and restoration of his injuries. There were so many going in and coming out who were not interested in any resource information.

Today we were joined by Sam, Frank, Linda, Pastor Adam, Tom, Monica and Bob!

We had quite the crew here praying!  It was a lovely day to be praying for an end to abortion at the clinic. Across the street you could hear a young child scream with glee as we prayed for those who entered the doors.  The adults with this child seemed to thoroughly enjoy being with the child.  It is something to consider as we pray.  How many people are truly happy with children and that is our hope for these young women facing a difficult pregnancy situation.  Choosing life is a way to bring goodness and joy instead of sadness and despair into all of our lives.

Praying with Pastor Adam is a real treat!. Between him and Sam…what great sidewalk advocates we had to help these women in need!  Sam is so patient and kind as he engages those who enter the clinic or walk out to talk. Pastor Adam has a wonderful way of just meeting people where they are at and encouraging them to make the right choices. One woman stopped to ask why we were here and Pastor Adam provided such a thorough explanation for her.  She walked away very upbeat!  Another entered the clinic and then came back out to have a conversation with him.  His friendliness and discussions with her brought her to understand that there are options in Pittsburgh besides PP to get help.  She was from out of town and searched online for help.  PP was the only option she found…surprisingly!  We truly have to cut through the clouds of doom that PP provides and get new recognition for us to change hearts and minds!

At one point we had 10 prayer warriors. Helen had a friend that came from her church later on. When we arrived, Ed was there doing handing out literature in his lunch time. And our dear Eva, who insisted on take the picture. We had a quiet afternoon with better success in passing out literature. People were pleasant and saying either thank you or no thank you, including the people going into and coming of PP. We felt very safe with Rich guarding us and the rain held off too. Blessing all around.

Pretty quiet today, very little traffic other than employees coming in and out of Planned Parenthood.  Mostly low-key positive comments from passerby. We did get in a Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 PM, and Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary at 4 o’clock. Really enjoyed the weather.
