Being a Beacon..
The storms are raging yet we offer that beacon of help and hope. We bring light to the darkness of 933 Liberty. We bring the light of truth. Sadly some would rather crash against the rocks, but we must be there to help those who want and need our help. Those who are hopeless need us. Being a lighthouse is not easy. It is not for everyone. The winds blow against us and the waves crash against our foundations too. But we persevere with God’s grace that gives us strength and courage.
If you haven’t yet been downtown please join us on the sidewalk. We still need you. Sign up or show up. Forward this to a friend or family member and share the joy. Bring your light to shine on those in peril and save lives. GBY Tim
Read on for today’s reports from those who were Beacons of Light at a very dark place today…
7:30-9:00 – Michael & Mark
The weather is beautiful and we are blest by a God who loves everyone of us unconditionally. Uneventful shift with only a few abortion workers entering PP.
We asked security guard Glenn if security guard Stacey was working today and he said no. We asked him to tell her we are all praying for her due to her surgery this week. He appreciated us showing concern and he will convey our regards and prayers to her. Glenn said he will update us on her progress.
We had a gift to give Stacy, but we will have to give it to her when she returns to work. After an awe inspiring weekend with Friday’s SA’s gathering and Sunday’s PCUC Luncheon, we are truly convinced how vital we are to this ministry and we need to remain shining, warm lights in this world of darkness.
“Hate the sins, love the sinners!” Sorry no photo today.
9:00-11:00 – Conrad & Beth
NOTE FROM CONRAD: Conrad strongly encourages everyone to vote early at early voting centers in Allegheny county. Republican leadership states that the group that waits loses 2% to the group who already banked their vote. Call him with questions at 412-580-1886.

The total number of women entering from 9 to 11 was about four or five. My partner, Beth, did not think there was an abortionist on site. I agree it generally was slow mainly abortion workers. However, a few did come out with a bag. It seemed possibly too there was a Spanish-speaking couple who Beth spoke with who went in and left after about 15 or 20 minutes. They must’ve made an appointment. The woman was definitely intent on the abortion. The young man with her spoke with Bev and seems interested in what Bev was trying to say. Bev gave them Spanish literature.
Language was an issue. Michael
11:00-1:00 – Marie

There was a lot of street traffic , but not much traffic going into planned parenthood. Michelle was there from the beginning and handed out literature. While peggy came at the end and we just prayed the rosary
1:00-3:00 – Tom & Helen
Much thanks to Helen, Bill, Susan, and our security teammate Red for being part of our Vigil from 1 to 3 today… The weather was a blessing and it was great to have the prayers and time everyone gave today to help end abortions and to offer support to those affected by it. A very slow afternoon at PP, and also on the block as pedestrian traffic was light today. We did have numerous contacts with passersby who were with us in prayer and spirit. Although it didn’t seem like we had a lot of individual contacts, maybe our presence let some people see our message and to think about it.
3:00-5:00 – Dan & Joanne

A few women went in and out of Planned Parenthood as we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplets and Joyous Mysteries Rosary, but none left with “ the brown paper bag” ! But we still included them in our prayers.
One young lady thanked us for being there and said “ that could have been one of us!
Later 3 people walked by and the girl knocked over the baby models and kept walking but one of the men walked back and help me pick it up and apologized. And while we were gathering up everything at the end of the shift a girl walking by called Joanne a #%* pig ! We prayed for her also .
