Day 20…Thanks to Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, People Concerned for the Unborn Child (New Castle), St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, Christ the King Parish & Faithful team members!

Deny yourself, pick up your cross and come follow me.  it’s easy to say but so often hard to do.

In the current state of affairs when the banners of darkness are being boldly unfurled we must have the courage to stand up and stand out for the most vulnerable, the unborn.

If Jesus was being lead down a very crowded Liberty Avenue carrying His cross, would you step out and help carry it?

I’m guessing if you are reading this you would and if fact do every time you stand outside the abortion mill. We are at the half way point of this campaign and we are making a big difference although it is not always visible.

Come back.  Make our presence even stronger. You won’t be alone. Jesus is coming to Liberty Avenue and comes every time 2 or 3 are gathered in His name.  Will you come join us?  Will you have the courage to ask a friend or family member to join you?  We need you, and He needs you now more than ever on the sidewalk to stand up for the truth. Forward this to at least one person please. Share the joy.

So, sign up or just show up but come and answer His call to “Follow Me”.  God bless you. Tim

As you can see from pic, a motley crew was present. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to come down upon PP  and all who enter this clinic to be shown the truth about when life truly begins and to restore a culture of life to our Pittsburgh City and state of Pennsylvania. As usual, Mondays between 7:30 and 9am are usually rather quiet and uneventful. Today was no exception. A few women entered PP who may have been there for an abortion or for other services. Weather cooperated with no rain and dropping Temps.

No one was able to be with David for his 9-11 shift today, but that didn’t stop him from being there!
Nikki joined David for about an hour, until Mike arrived 40 minutes early for his 11am shift…
Thanks Mike for coming early and working “overtime”!
Nikki got a photo of the Stericycle “Shredding” truck as it pulled up to PP. The driver brought a large garbage can into PP, and about 10 minutes later brought it out to be shredded in some sort of hydraulic lift that came out of the side of the truck. Strange.

Thanks to our wonderful dedicated team for keeping this 40 day vigil un-broken…even when we have trouble getting empty spots filled! David has been a 40 Days for Life shift anchor since the very beginning of when I began to lead, back in 2010. He drives all the way from West Virginia when his busy work schedule allows, and even though he did not have a partner today, he still came. It was slow, but as we got close to the 10am hour, people started entering the clinic, and it appeared that they were there for abortions. There were two couples that looked abortion bound. We prayed and offered life-saving help, which was refused. At least we were there for them.

Amazing turnout during the 1-3 shift, including People Concerned for the Unborn Child (New Castle), and Executive Director of Students for Life, Tina Whittington from Fredericksburg, VA!

Today was a somewhat quiet day in the PP building, although there was some foot traffic — not a busy day.  One customer we interacted with as she left the building 3 minutes after entering, responded to our offers of information and then offering prayers responded with “I don’t need your prayers, but thank you” as she walked away.  I sure hope she was right!

We had some exceptional help today from our friends from New Castle who were doing great outreach –  they pop in every so often to support our Pittsburgh group and we appreciate it!  In addition, we had a couple surprise visitors today who will be attending and speaking at the “MAGEE-WOMENS HOSPITAL ANNUAL PUBLIC MEETING, RALLY, AND PRAYER WALK” this evening at 6 PM…  Carolyn from Resurrection Parish visited our group and also invited our other surprise visitor to see what we do on our sidewalk vigils – we were honored to meet Tina Whittington, the Executive Vice President of Students for Life in America.  Tina travelled from Fredericksburg, Virginia to be with us today!

One young lady with her 2 adorable children around 3 and 4 years old hugged Kathy and thanked her and Peggy ( who wasn’t present) for talking her out of aborting the baby she’s now carrying when they talked to her a few weeks ago! She said she knows things are going to be tough with 3 children but she’s going to be able to do it. I told her to keep praying to God and her will provide. Then a car pulled up for her and she hugged Kathy and Joanne and thanked them again…and then her two little children, (without being told by the mother), both hugged us before they got in the car!  Like I said they were adorable!
