Day 20…Thanks to Christ the King Parish, terrific team members, and friends who came to pray today!

The Glory of God all around us

I just marvel at the glory of Spring when the trees, plants and flowers miraculously start to bud. God makes them grow, sometimes ever so slowly. After the bleak, dark days of winter, the seeds planted long ago begin to grow.  How?  Ask HIM.

The same thing happens on the street downtown in the hearts of the abortion bound. HE just needs someone to sow the seeds and that is up to me and you.  When we are on the street, we sow the seeds of love, caring, compassion and help for moms and the unborn.  That’s our part. Have faith, He will make them grow even when we don’t see it right away

So come on down and sow your seeds of love with your presence, your prayers, your words and your smile.  It will not be in vain. Oh yeah, bring a friend and share the joy.  GBY

SIDEWALK REPORTS

MICHAEL: It was in the mid 40s but when the wind blew it felt very cold. There were many clients going in with significant others. All were adamantly opposed to hearing what we had to say. Several women going in were sad and teary eyed. Some appeared as if they had to do the abortion and their minds were made up. Today was our first Monday of seeing abortions scheduled during this campaign. God being in control is our saving grace.

MARY: While I was initially scheduled alone for 9-11, Conrad and Mary M. graciously agreed to keep the vigil with me. Then four more men showed up after 10 to pray with us (my apologies but I didn’t write down anyone’s names).  So we gad many prayer partners wondering with us. Sadly, it was very busy this morning with at least 9 women/couples entering PP.  A few accepted information but no one wanted to discuss. I had a long conversation with a gentleman from China who enthusiastically supported our efforts and took some pictures of the baby models and posters to show his family.
CONRAD: The 9 to 11 shift was quite busy for a Monday. The previous shift reported that it was also very busy. The most disturbing thing was that a family of a man and a young woman and their toddler entered PP clearly with the intent of abortion . The woman was very affectionate towards her child as was the father. She paid then all 3 went upstairs.    Finally please consider bringing Our Lady of Guadalupe to the sidewalk by using a bungee cord as shown in this picture (above). Today was quite windy but not an issue. She wants to be with her children.

MARIE: Marie, Mike, Ray, Dan & Bill @ the 11 – 1 shift. Cold & windy day with a lot of sidewalk and PP traffic.

TOM: From 1 to 3 PM today, besides myself and Susan, we were blessed to have 2 new trained sidewalk advocates with us, who did a great job of interacting with numerous passersby and people who either exited or entered PP.  Theresa and Brandon, who made the trip in from Greensburg, were our new team members today!  They are going to consider future times to work as sidewalk advocates, so welcome to them both!  We prayed the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary and also the Divine Mercy Chaplet for an end to abortion and also for the babies, mothers, abortion workers, and doctors and nurses in our quest to end abortion.   A reminder of how beautiful life can be was visible right outside the yellow semi-circle (flowers are blooming!).

DAN: We were blessed to have Teresa, Brandon, Kathy, Jack and Mary with us today doing some sidewalk counseling, handing out pamphlets and praying as people entered and exited PP .
