Day 16…Thanks to Lincoln Place Church of the Nazarene, St. Francis & St. Clare of Assisi Parishes, all faithful team members & Volunteers!

In the New Testament in the Gospel of John, Jesus tells His disciples: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”. John 15:12

As Christians we are commanded to love, not as the world does, superficially and it’s all about feelings. We are commanded to love like Jesus does, selflessly and serving others.

Many times we do not love as Jesus has loved us and we repent and return to Him. We know and believe we are forgiven because of Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross.  He died for ALL and wants ALL to come to know Him as Lord & Savior.  We pray fervently for those walking in opposition to God, for their salvation.  Many times we have prayed for laborers for the harvest.  We are those laborers for the harvest.  We continue to persevere and be present for this campaign and many of us for the 365 campaign also.  God has sent each and every one of us, regardless of our denomination, we are in unity in our belief in Jesus.  Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me so I send you”We are SENT to this mission field to love, pray, share and educate through our simple conversations with those going into PP and those just passing by.  We see the persecution in the mocking and jeering but that does not deter us.  Almost every time after a mean gesture or unkind word; God sends a blessing our way. It may be a simple “God bless you”, or “Thank you for being here”. Sometimes it’s in having a conversation with someone and we are blessed to share the resource brochure and offer help and hope. It always amazes me each and every week to see who God sends our way. There are many times we are blessed to pray with people. God’s goodness shines through on the sidewalk in that dark space on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh. There’s still plenty of time left to come and join in this battle. What are you waiting for?  There really is no time to waste.  If we want our city to change from a culture of death to a culture of life we need all hands on deck.  We need all Christians to step up and stand up and get off the sidelines or the front row and get onto the frontlines!

Father we thank you and praise you for the laborers for the harvest.  We are believing that abortion will end in our city and world.  We are declaring that there will be a revival and reformation.  We are declaring the church will awaken and be revived. We are declaring that our city will be a Sanctuary City for Life.  We ask all this in Jesus name. Amen.

Well February sure got the last word today! It was COLD this morning…only 23 degrees. But the sky was blue and luckily no wind. And best of all, Planned Parenthood was not busy. Only one couple entered at the very end of my shift. However, after my shift ended, when I was inside the parking garage, paying for my parking, two young women were headed out of the garage, obviously trying to find the location of a certain business…which I assumed was Planned Parenthood. I approached them, and they were indeed headed to PP. I urged them to go to Women’s Choice Network instead and told them the dangers of abortion and all the free help and support available. They accepted the brochure and the miraculous medals and continued to walk out of the garage. I had no idea if they went to PP after that, but when I checked with the 9am shift, Judy told me that she did not see any couples matching that description…and in fact did not see ANYONE enter PP for quite a while after I left! So I am praising God that they may have changed their minds! God is SO GOOD!!! Praise God!!!

This morning Pastor Joe, Chuck and I arrived to find that it was as cold here as it was at home. It was a little breezy, but thankfully sunny.

Traffic into PP was much slower than on other Thursday mornings. Praise God for that. No one was interested in hearing about or receiving any resource materials. But they received our prayers as they entered the building.

We praise God that even when we don’t see it, we know he is working in answer to our prayers and fasting. The battle belongs to Him! “He who calls you is faithful. He will surely do it.”

Judy
Pastor Joe, Judy and Chuck are faithful Thursday pray-ers…even in the bitter cold! Bill was there to join in also. He is doing much better now.

It was a cold and uneventful shift on the sidewalk today. Several couples and single women entered Planned Parenthood. No one was interested in taking any information.

Many prayers were prayed.

Many fervent pray-ers came out to the freezing cold sidewalk today!

It was cold and breezy when we first arrived.  I didn’t wear appropriate footwear.  So dug into the hand and foot warmers that we brought.  It was much better when the sun poked thru.  Thankful we finally had a dry shift!

The prayer warriors prayed two rosaries, Divine Mercy and other prayers led by Fr Jim.

Too many coming and going from PP.  I spoke to two different men. They were there for testing.  I encouraged them to go elsewhere and gave the resource flyer to them.  The one spoke Spanish.  Praise God I could quickly locate the only Spanish brochure I could find in the case.  We may need to add a few more.

A young man stopped to talk with Carolyn.  He seemed troubled. She showered her love on him. She told him how handsome he was and that she would have gladly adopted him when he asked her what she thought about if she was never born or if he was never born.

A “Dr” came around a couple times yelling Free Palestine.  He agrees with what we are there for.  He is sad about a child of his that was aborted that he wanted. We talked about some things that we can agree on…the need for peace, end of war, treat people with respect, value of life…  He was still fired up the second time he passed thru without stopping.

Keep praying…

Wonderful witness from members of St. Francis & St. Clare of Assisi Parishes today!

It was a little bit of an interesting day today at Planned Parenthood, the one to three shift offered to take some of the paraphernalia back to Little Lamb For us, as there was quite a collection on the sidewalk by the time we got there at 3 o’clock. We had one fella come up to us at about 3:30 – 3:45, and ask questions about Our Lady of Guadalupe. He wound up just rambling about some kind of nonsense or another, and we were just polite and he walked away. We did notice he was shivering, and we prayed that he had someplace warm to go for the night. And another fellow came, and in typical fashion, was practically running past us and yelled, “Why don’t you give up you’re not doing any good.” I yelled to him please explain. He came back and started to babble on about how what we were doing wasn’t doing any good, and how we needed to help mothers with babies financially, and support them in other ways as well. I explained to him how we were doing exactly that, and used several examples, and he just changed the subject and continued with a barrage of insults. He eventually walked away. We prayed for him. There were a couple log adies who came out of Planned Parenthood, we’re really not sure what the what they were there for but we did pray for them. We did get in a Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 PM and also a rosary, in the 4 o’clock hour.

  1. But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the prophets.
    Let them listen to them.’
He said, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.’
Most have Already decided ….only prayer & God will change a cold heart.
