Day 12…Thanks to Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish & Faithful Team members!

“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil,

but by those who watch them without doing anything.”

-Albert Einstein

So many people have been exposed to the lie that abortion is necessary and compassionate.  So many people believe it to be true.  Standing up against that lie is difficult.  But we can’t let difficulty stop us from witnessing to the precious nature of every human being.

We who are blessed with the awareness that each of us is created by God, is valued by God, is beloved by God, must let others know the beautiful truth!  Praying at PP, while not always comfortable, is a powerful way to demonstrate it.  Please sign up to witness with us on the sidewalk. You can choose a time at https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/Pittsburgh or email pghsaland365@gmail.com to say when you’ll be there.

Dave, Rich, George

So grateful to Vince, Dave, George, and Rich for coming to pray on the sidewalk this morning. One man shouted at us from across the street, telling us to go home, get a life, etc. That’s pretty rare for a Sunday morning. Our presence may have touched an unhealed wound…praying for him and for all who suffer the aftermath of abortion. -Jen

Thanks to Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish!

It was a joy to pray with Most Precious Blood of Jesus parish this morning. At one point we were 15 persons strong on the sidewalk praying all fifteen decades of the Holy Rosary. It is such a blessing to have a large turnout from one parish. I would also add a gracious thank you to the security presence on the sidewalk. Both courteous and vigilant he shoed away even those with harsh and foul words aimed at our peaceful prayerful witness for life. -Ken

Other than a beautiful, sunny and prayerful day, we did have someone riding a bike on the sidewalk decide to kick over the display. It was a deliberate hit and run. Fortunately, nothing got damaged. I am so grateful to stand with such beautiful and faithful prayer warriors. God Bless all who stand on the sidewalk in defense of the unborn. -Roseann

Thanks to all those from Most Precious Blood of Jesus for filling up the sidewalk today! Pray for a young psychiatrist who I spoke with at length. He attempted to enter Planned Parenthood and claimed he was there to schedule an abortion for a friend (prayers for her!). He refused any offers of help for her saying she didn’t need them. We ending up having an almost hour long conversation about the issue of abortion. He was not convinced of the truth of the matter, but did seem to be thoughtfully considering it.

From Katie:

We were blessed by lots of Most Precious Blood of Jesus parishioners, plus the Abbé and two candidates who are at our parish this year in preparation for the priesthood. (Unfortunately I completely forgot to take pictures, but I completely forgot to even write a shift report last week, so I’m making progress!!) We prayed a few rosaries and a Divine Mercy chaplet. One woman stopped by and asked for a rosary, and I gave her the one that was left in the literature box, but the guard had immediately approached her and she was uncomfortable with him because of previous trauma. They (she and the guard) kept going back and forth so I told her to come over to the other side of the pray-ers while I looked through my backpack for a booklet about how to pray the rosary. She kept saying that she doesn’t like men, and he kept staring at her, so I can understand that she was intimidated. There were a few negative comments, but Andrew had an extended conversation with one guy, who from what I could hear was making what sounded like a bodily-rights-based argument, but Andrew said he thought it was a productive conversation. There was a couple who parked in front of us shortly after I arrived, and the woman came over to me and said “I assume you’re with them?” Pointing to the signs and fetal models, and I said yes, and she thanked me for being there. Next week I’ll remember to get pictures, sorry bout that!!!

I love it when Precious Blood of Jesus is here. But Satan is not too fond of it. We were praying the rosary, and then a demonic flareup happened. Security got into a tussle with someone. The perpetrator was detained and police were called. The police were on a first-name basis with the perpetrator, everything was calm and no one got hurt.

So great to see so many young people prayerfully present here today. How different our shifts would be if we had the faithful prayers with us as we did today. Praise Jesus Christ both now and forever! Amen. Andy

Police were called after our security guard detained an aggressive man who got into a tussle with someone. This was a random act and not directed at us specifically.
Thanks to “Red” for keeping our late afternoon shift safe!

Thank you and God bless you!
