Five Smooth Stones
Friends! Come with me! We’re hiking down to the wadi to pick out for ourselves FIVE SMOOTH STONES. What might those five stones represent? I’m sure anyone could come up with at least a couple ideas. Here are mine:
- Openness – Allow your heart to be receptive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in your life. What are you being called to do?
- Cooperation – Resign yourself to HIS Holy Will (which is ALWAYS best!) and be willing to follow it, not counting the cost.
- FAITH – (IMPORTANT!) Have confidence in Him. We are not in this fight all by ourselves. Our Guardian Angel is with us and the Heavenly Court supports our work!
- Fortitude – Give it your all. Don’t just phone it in. (I’m the first to admit I’m a reluctant disciple, sometimes.) Do the work set out before you. Strive!
- Gratitude – We were all born into this time with THIS challenge in front of us. This is the path we’ve been set on. Thank Our Dear Lord for this opportunity to serve Him.
Ready as we’ll ever be, now, let’s get going! There’s a rather large Philistine out there who needs to be dealt with! Tracy

Joe, Tim & David

(From Tim) – We were blessed as no one entered pp and no babies were killed as the clinic was closed. Ever faithful David Joe and I were able to pray and witness to the few people who walked by.
Andrew & Ann
(From Andrew) – Quiet day today as PP was thankfully closed! Multiple Rosaries were said. I was joined by Clare and Kiran from Most Precious Blood of Jesus, and by Tom who came all the way from Johnstown. My own parents also joined me.
Chris & Judy

(From Chris) – 40 Days for Life was supported by payer warriors from Divine Grace Parish in Cranberry Twp. PA. The attached photo with 5 people includes Bill S., Jim F., Janine S., Mary V., and Barb B. Sidewalk Advocates for that shift were Judy V. and Chris D.; and for the 1-3 PM shift were Michele B., Patty R., and Kathy K. Photos are attached.
All praise and Glory be to God that Planned Parenthood was closed today; so advocacy and prayer were pretty much uninterrupted. Judy handed out many pro-life fliers to passers-by and counseled people multiple times about the benefits of pro-life, pro-woman and family services. The warm weather accented the joy of PP being closed, and helped to lift the spirits of all in attendance. God be praised!
There is one anomaly to report today, which is that although closed, the Planned Parenthood building had been left unlocked. Here is m report about that, in case it is needed by PCUC, SAFL, or any of the supporting church groups:
Between 11:00 and 11:15 AM a patron emerged from Planned Parenthood (I did not see when she entered). Our SAFL Director, Andrew McCauley asked if she had gone in for services, but she replied she was there for an annual checkup and seemed to be confused about why the door was open and no one was inside. One of our advocates tested the door to confirm it was open.
Between 11:15 and 11:20 AM, Pittsburgh Police squad car 3292 arrived at Planned Parenthood and two male officers exited the car and entered Planned Parenthood. After a few minutes, they came back out and drove down the block (they drove back past about 11:30 to 11:35 AM).. They did not question any of the pro-life advocates outside. It is not known if the Police responded to a building alarm or a phone call.
Kathy & Patty
(from Kathy) Praise God pp was closed! Michelle, Patty and I prayed , reaching out to passerby with info. J. joined Patty in the Rosary. She comes down to pray on her children’s birthday. Tensions increased when J. offered medal to homeless woman (Linda) Linda refused repeatedly. Respect someone saying no, This did not.stop an enthusiastic believer. She followed Linda down street. Linda came back and told us ,she loved us ,,she is our friend.
A male mental health counselor needed to tell us : we are harming women by standing there. He had a client who had an abortion and all her children have problems because of us. He was educated about mental problems after abortion. He would not leave. We started to pray and he left. Beautiful day with God teaching us.
Billy & Mary

Today I was accompanied with Mary and Ann. When I got there at the end of Kathy’s shift a mam came up and told them they were ignorant, misguided and sending a hurtful message and Kathy lead in prayer and the man left us. Prayer changes everything. Mary and I did a prayer afterwards and Ann was standing on the other side. Then we had another person flip us off and say they were reminded to donate to Planned Parenthood because it was closed. Now let me tell you the good news and the good, there were no abortions today because Planned Parenthood was closed. And a lady came up and told the man in the beginning she loved us and we were nice people. All in all it was a beautiful day at the sidewalk. God is good. Billy

Strange about the PP door being open. Trying to see a message in it. So glad the terrible place was closed today. Some day, I pray, we will be able to say, “No babies killed today” not only because it was the weekend but because the abortuarium was closed — for good. Thank you to all the witnesses who held vigil today. At least you were blessed with warmer weather. I hope the sun was able to shine down upon you, as I know The Son always does.
