Day 14…Thanks to St. Matthew Parish, faithful team members, and all who prayed with us today!

Here comes that line we’ve all heard before…….

Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson says that when there’s a peaceful, prayerful outreach presence at an abortion facility, Planned Parenthood regularly documents up to a 75% cancellation rate!

Why do I bring this statement up again? Because it very clearly shows the importance of a prayerful sidewalk presence.

We show up = fewer babies killed.

We don’t show up = more babies killed.

Nice and simple. Tells us exactly what we need to do.

Recently a sidewalk counseling publication I receive quoted what a young woman entering an abortion clinic told a sidewalk counselor. “If abortion was truly murder, then there would be hundreds of people out here protesting.” Did this young woman raise a legitimate point? I think so. Numbers matter too! Often there are only two people per shift willing to tell the world what abortion really is!

Please come to Planned Parenthood to pray this Lent!

SIDEWALK REPORTS

Starting out, it was just me and my amigos this morning (Bill, Jackie and Anthony). Business was slower, thank goodness. There was a dad escorting his daughter, along with her boyfriend, to the abortuary. Passing up a chance to be a grandpa?!! Sad. Maggie came in from Steubenville and joined us the last half hour. Glad to have another cheerful face onboard!

BETH: Welcome to Maggie, pictured here with Linda on our morning shift. Cold temperature outside, colder activity inside PP. Usual number of sad encounters on Liberty.

John, Barb, and Rose

It was a rather quiet day on the sidewalk. And, we were blessed with beautiful weather! We had a few people stop and comment on the fetal model display. A middle Eastern family was shocked to learn what when on inside the doors of Planned Parenthood.  A young man kept looking at the display, stating, “Don’t people know that they will be held accountable for what they did here?”  There was a mom with her beautiful son, about 6 years old. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of the fetal models.  I gave him a little plastic model and he kissed it and held it close to his heart. Finally, some daycare workers passed by with about 20 preschool and younger children. The children pointed, many exclaiming – “Look, babies!”  Isn’t it something that a little child can clearly see the truth and many adults cannot!

We got lucky and had good weather again. God is good! A lot of people in and out. A couple of very young girls with brown bags sadly. We prayed and sang some songs. Let’s all pray to Saint Michael for the people who came out with brown bags that they have a change of heart. Saint Michael the Archangel defend us in battle……..
