Blessed Kick-off Last Night!

It was truly a blessed evening for our kick-off Mass & Eucharistic Procession to PP last night! Thanks to all who attended, and a special thanks to Fr. Christopher Donley and Divine Mercy Parish for hosting the event, and to all the priests who concelebrated and led the procession! We are blessed here in Pittsburgh to have the support of the Church for our 40 Days for Life! May God protect us and use us to save many lives and souls during these 40 days! Many young people joined in the 40 Days for Life kick-off Mass & Eucharistic Procession! It was wonderful to see young people who love the Lord and His precious unborn children! Ian and his amazing Schola (in the choir loft above) are so talented and lifted our spirits with their heavenly music.
Fr. Christopher Donley offers such a beautiful and reverent Mass, and it is inspiring to see the young altar servers being taught how special and holy the Mass is! They take their job very seriously!
Fr. Chris gave an inspiring homily about the tragedy of the current mass extinction of children who are diagnosed with medical problems in the womb. He talked about the amazing gift each and every one of them is to their families, using his own cousin as an example. His Aunt had been encouraged to abort, but chose life, and his cousin lived 21 years (named Peter), is now the ROCK of his entire family!
We are grateful for our “Generals” who lead us into spiritual battle against abortion!

Fr. Joe was the one who led the Eucharistic Procession to PP. My husband commented correctly that Fr. Joe is
“a force”! That is the best description of him that I have heard! Fr. Joe, thank you for being a FORCE for Jesus!

God gave us the most beautiful evening of the entire year for our kick-off! It was absolutely gorgeous!

So inspiring to see many faithful lovers of Jesus on their knees in the street. Look at these sweet little babies…they were praying along with their rosaries in their little hands.

As I said, Fr. Joe is a force! He and Fr. Chris, and the other priests who led us last night are our spiritual “Generals”. They are helping us to fight this battle of good vs. evil. Without the Eucharist, we would get weak and fall away. Thanks to all the priests who took part in this Mass & Eucharistic Procession to kick off our Lenten 40 Days for Life, and thanks to all who attended. May God bless us all!

    We Sisters of the Holy Spirit will be praying for you daily throughout the 40days! That babies will be saved and moms helped and for safety for the participants.!

    I was not able to come last night. I think it’s the first 40 days opening I’ve missed since I moved here 5 years ago.
    Thanks for all of the pics and videos. You were in my thoughts all day and evening.
    Great to see all the young and old present.
