Day Infinity and Beyond

Make a joyful sound unto the Lord, a baby was saved this morning in front of PP!! Pray-ers from Steubenville, Virginia, a Sidewalk Advocate,  and Diane with the baby models were there when a woman who changed her mind came out of PP and took resource information for LIFE!!

Day:  Holy Saturday  To Infinity and Beyond….

Buzz Lightyear goes “to infinity and beyond”, Superman dives in for the rescue and Star Trek heroes went where “no man has ever gone before”…. well- what do you know!  Their hero must be Jesus.

Jesus loves us “to infinity and beyond” starting from before birth.  He died to rescue. Jesus came from where no man has ever come before.

So for this singer, I suggest learning about Jesus…. from “infinity and beyond” He loves us!  Anyone who needs a hero, needs Jesus!

We all hold out for heroes.  Woman who are seeking abortions need real heroes in their lives.  Most women seek abortions out of fear, despair, loss and abandonment.  To bring heroes to life,  we need real people to pray, to offer tangible support, to educate in order to get the message out that there are life affirming alternatives!  Thank you sidewalk prayers and advocates for doing just that.

The following Scripture passage (partially quoted here) describes the desperate need of a woman.  She looks to the leader of her time for help. Thankfully, he had asked for wisdom to guide his people.  He is her hero!

Solomon is faced with a difficult decision

1 Kings 3: 16-28

21 In the morning when I got up to feed my son, I saw that he was dead. But when I looked at him in the light, I knew he wasn’t my son.

22 “No!” the other woman shouted. “He was your son. My baby is alive!”

“The dead baby is yours,” the first woman yelled. “Mine is alive!”

They argued back and forth in front of Solomon, 23 until finally he said, “Both of you say this live baby is yours. 24 Someone bring me a sword.”

A sword was brought, and Solomon ordered, 25 “Cut the baby in half! That way each of you can have part of him.”

26 “Please don’t kill my son,” the baby’s mother screamed. “Your Majesty, I love him very much, but give him to her. Just don’t kill him.”

The other woman shouted, “Go ahead and cut him in half. Then neither of us will have the baby.”

27 Solomon said, “Don’t kill the baby.” Then he pointed to the first woman, “She is his real mother. Give the baby to her.”

We can learn from Jesus.  But you have to open Scripture to read about Him… and then establish a relationship with Him and His writings.  Prayer and listening leads to action.

Has Jesus, because you asked Him for direction, ever given you a clear answer.  He did for me: (and re-read the opening above for the woman this morning at PP)

On March 24, 1998, I had a true experience of  an example of Jesus.  He showed me through a teacher in Jonesboro, Arkansas the lengths one woman went to in order to save another. She stood between a bullet and a child in a school shooting.  Shannon Wright died saving that student.  My life changed the moment I learned of her death.  I was seeking direction about a violent child in my class.  Why do people have to die to save others? The violent will take the world through violence.  So, one person at a time, we try to stop the violence.   Abortion is a violent choice of action.

Why do mothers think they have to kill their children in order to live themselves?

I asked Jesus:   “How much do you love me?”

Jesus responded by stretching out his arms to take me and hold me in that moment on the Cross when he was feeling most abandoned.

                                                         All is forgiven!

Take action:  Help woman demonstate the love of Jesus for their babies. Jesus would like that.  Yes, He does!!  It is good for your soul!

May the Jesus who died for us on Good Friday and the same Jesus who rose from the dead on Easter Sunday hold you in his loving arms from now -to infinity and beyond.  Repent and believe in the Lamb of God!
