Day 10, St. Mary’s in Glenshaw, Youth With A Mission & Liberty Baptist!

What a great day to stand witness for the Love that God has for us all…including babies still growing in their mother’s wombs!  St. Mary of the Assumption in Glenshaw started us out at 7am this morning.  Here are some photos sent in by Shift Manager Sally:

Sally reported the following about her shift today:

“Al said that around 20 girls went into PP between 7 & 9 a.m.  By the time I arrived, and up until I left, only a few more went in.  The abortionist of the day, Robert Thompson, arrived around 8 a.m.  His normal time of arrival is anywhere from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.   For him to arrive at 8 a.m. could mean that they had one or more second trimester abortions planned.  That seems likely because he was in PP for 20 minutes or so, (long enough to get things started) then left, and came back about a half hour later.  There were 17 of us at PP up till 11 a.m.  About half came from St. Mary Assumption.  One of the ladies, Gina who has been there before with Ginny, was giving literature to girls going in and those coming out of PP.  She’s good.  If I see her again, I will ask her if she would like to train as a sidewalk counselor. Little Brooklynn is very good at passing out rosary packs and 10-12 week babies & the card that goes with them.  Ginny came early with Brooklynn, and in about 20 minutes she had given out 20 or so rosary packets & was starting to hand out the babies.  She’s so cute, who could resist her.  One person even gave her five dollars, which was given to me to give to the 40 Days for Life.

Yesterday we picketed at the Bridgeville Planned Parenthood.  For the first time ever, at that location, a woman showed up with a hand lettered cardboard sign that read: Stop the War on Women.  She stayed for quite a while, considering that it was very cold.  She talked with no one except Bob & then only to say, “Why are you doing this?  You will be dead pretty soon.”  She did not explain the statement.  It could have meant that we are all SO OLD that we can’t last too much longer.  I was so wishing that she would have come near me.  I would have thanked her for being with us, because abortion has been making war on women and their children since 1973.   Sally”

Youth With a Mission  provided the witness from 11am – 3pm today.  Thanks to them for stepping in last minute to help us maintain our vigil!!! Here are some photos of them, sent in by Shift Manager Marie:

Youth With A Mission brought "180" DVD's to distribute...and enlisted cute little Brooklynne to hand them out!
Brooklynne gave away many DVD's and flyers...who could resist her?

My husband Joe and I held the last two hours of the vigil tonight, along with Minister Kenneth Russell, of Liberty Baptist Church in Braddock.  Here is a photo:

Ken, Joe and I (along with Gus…who stopped by for a bit) prayed, sang and enjoyed being a light to our city this evening.  Even though it rained pretty hard (I am getting used to that), I still enjoy being used by God to show the truth of Christ in front of the very place that thrives on lies and deception.  Maybe there is a tiny bit of a fighter in me…every time I go there, I rather enjoy thrusting the Truth, Power, Grace, Love and Sacrifice of Christ into the face of the one who is a liar, a bully, a blamer, a hater and a lover of self.  I think we are pulling the mask off Satan…by our witness there.
