Day 13, our family pulls together again, and is joined by Catholic Moms!

Once again, our 40 Days for Life family pulled together and stood for life!  I thought I would be alone all morning during my shift, since there was no church and only one volunteer signed up for 10am.  I was suprised to see Marilyn walking towards me to keep me company at around 8:30am.  She had gotten my email and knew I was going to be alone, so decided to come stand with me.  Here is a photo of us:

After about an hour, I was suprised again by the arrival of one of our Shift Managers, Cathy…who had also read the email and came to stand with me.  Here is a photo:

Before I knew it, it was 10 o’clock and Tess arrived for her scheduled time:

This photo was taken at the end of my shift, and shows Christine and her baby, Sly…who had arrived early from the Catholic Moms Group.  The faithful sisters from this group signed up to witness for Christ and for Life during our second shift today.  Here is a photo of Barbara, who was the Shift Manager during the second shift today:

More Catholic Moms showed up after I left.  Kellie sent me this photo:

Kellie (with her children Jack, Abigail & Iris), Lynn (with daughter Grace), and Christine (with Sly)
Nicole with her daughter Grace, and Kellie (both from Catholic Moms)

You know, looking at these photos brought tears to my eyes.  Seeing such Godly women, who are also bold and courageous…who are willing to stand up against evil and are bravely working to improve the culture that we are leaving to our children…is such an ispiration!

It is such a blessing to get to meet so many women of God through this ministry!  I am so grateful that I have the privilege to serve God in this way!  Thanks to all who are praying, fasting, and coming to hold vigil!

Your sister,

Nikki

I was on the Catholic Moms shift from noon-1 PM today and I wanted to say how wonderful it is that we, as a group, can support life in this manner. It is difficult, as moms with small children, to organize for much of anything but as you can see, 40 Days for Life is that important! To have the opportunity to witness for life is an amazing gift. We are blessed to have the opportunity.

I stood with Shift Manager Barbara for most of my time. It was such a blessing to witness her love for all those who passed. She made eye contact with as many people as possible and said “hello” or some other greeting. What a visible sign of God’s love in front of an abortion clinic! I was honored to stand with her.

Toward the end of my shift, a group of businessmen walked by. One of them stopped, shook mine and Barbara’s hands, and thanked us for being here. What an amazing testament that this man was willing to speak out in support of life among his peers! God is great 🙂
