I hold a sign by Juanita Scott on Friday, 18 March 2011 (She was inspired to write this poem on Mar 16 when she was at the vigil that morning watching the people walk by)
You walk by with your eyes cast down
Not wanting to see me or even look around
I hold a sign and I say a prayer
To try to save the child you carry, but you wish I wasn’t there.
You have no one to help you, you feel you have no choice;
I can be there for you, please hear my voice.
God wants to love you, you only have to ask.
He loves you now and forever, He’ll also forget your past
So lift your eyes and see me as I stand here with my sign.
I can share the love and hope of Jesus, if you’ll only give me time.
