Well, day #2…and I believe we have received another sign from the Lord!
If you were at our 40 Days for Life kick-off event last Saturday, you heard Marci Deal’s beautiful testimony of her post-abortion healing. She shared how the Lord gave her the gift (as part of her healing) of a vision of her daughter in heaven. She saw a beautiful girl with blond hair and blue eyes…about 3 years old. He told her that her daughter’s name is Grace. She has since named her newly-birthed ministry “Amazing Grace.”
Well, today at our vigil we had a mother stop by to pray with her little 3-year old girl. They came to pray “for the babies and the mommies”. She was a cutie…blond hair and blue eyes. Can you take a guess as to her name? That’s right….it is GRACE! She is beautiful!
Yesterday, as you know, we had a baby named Zoey (meaning LIFE)…and today, we have a little girl named GRACE! Is God good, or what!!!
Also, I would like to pass along this story from our vigil shift manager, Barbara Lewis, who was on-duty at the vigil last night from 3-7pm. She wrote:
“It continued to rain hard for the 4 hours after you left. No drizzle…just cold rain. Such a challenge. I think the rain won. I got soaked. However, I think it made our 40 Days for Life presence more poignant. About hour 2, a young woman asked me if she could tell me something. She had passed this very Planned Parenthood site 9 years ago, intending to have an abortion. Seeing the people with pro life signs, she decided to keep her baby. Desmond is 9 years old, a basket ball player and his grades are getting closer and closer to the honor roll. You had to see her face to realize there are no difficulties that are larger than the value of our vigil. So many people stopped to thank us for being there.”
Finally, I want to let you know that the photos from our kick off event are now posted on the main website. This is the first time that we have had a professional photographer volunteer to take the pictures. What a difference! I was amazed at how she captured the mood of the evening. They truly are beautiful, amazing photographs. I have to say that Third Day used to be my favorite band, but now my favorite band is Intent. I haven’t listened to anything except their CD since Saturday!
Okay, that’s it. Keep the faith! Keep praying every day! Keep fasting! Come to the vigil! God will use us to save lives, change hearts and draw others to Himself! If you are not getting the daily devotions emailed to you, register at 40daysforlife.com
